This style of photo is a new aesthetic for me.
I recently shot some 100iso Fuji Reala Superia on my half frame and it produced some impressive prints. However, my scanner seems to hate C41, and anything i scan looks flat and dull. That means im not going to bother trying to post them up for the time being. However, there were some shots i took in very low light that interested me even though they lacked the vibrancy of a proper exposed negative (i had to trick the camera into thinking that i had the flash on otherwise it wouldn’t let me take the shot). They’re dark,  grainy and soft, but as an experiment I think they turned out nice, and create a sense of atmosphere or feeling for me. I hope to develop the concept a little further and get a whole set inspired by the shot/s below.
As usual, it’s probably best to click on the image to see it at full resolution.

Finished with the OM1 now. Works and looks great (except for a couple little bumps on it). Will put a roll through it soon.
Below is a pic i took with my digital camera the other night. I got bit of an unusual result. It actually looks like it was taken with a film camera i think. I didn’t apply any post processing to the photo at all besides bringing the levels in a little. I personally like how it came out.

Havent had much time to post anything up lately. Im going down to Phillip Island in a couple of days to watch the motoGP. I’m looking forward to getting some photos at the track. But im also looking forward to taking some shots in and around Melbourne. I find it really interesting, and a little more “inspiring” that most parts of Sydney. But maybe thats just the novelty view from an outsider looking in. Whatever it is, i like it there. I’ll be bringing my digital and film cameras to play around with.
Today im just uploading a pic i deliberately took in harsh lighting conditions to experiment a little. I havent done anything really fancy to it in photoshop, but i quite like it (well my gf is in it, so i have to like it, hehe). I cant concentrate on digital pics too much at the moment though, i keep looking forward ot taking my film camera out instead!
